Description
Ivy Tech's Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is a leadership development program specifically designed for Ivy Tech students. SLA provides the opportunity for you to further enhance your leadership and professional development skills, while learning more about the history and traditions of the college.
Fifteen students from the Bloomington campus service area will be selected to participate in this 8-week, 20 contact hour, co-curricular program. SLA will occur during the fall semester. Sessions will be held the following dates and times. Participants are required to attend each session. There is no charge for participation.
Through your participation in SLA you will:
- Improve your leadership skills
- Enhance your professional development skills
- Enjoy opportunities to network with alumni and community members
Upon successful completion of SLA you will receive:
- An invitation to a college-wide SLA Graduation Luncheon Celebration
- A specially designed Medallion to wear during Commencement
- A scholarship for a 3-credit hour course (in-state rate, tuition only) to be used Spring 2022
Student Leadership Academy will be held on-campus this Fall. Masks are required if you have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19. SLA will be held on the following dates. Please ensure that you will be able to attend all sessions if you apply for SLA.
